The Neftaly Bookkeeping Learnership is a structured, practical training programme designed to equip aspiring finance professionals with foundational bookkeeping skills and real-world experience. This learnership provides an opportunity for young people, students, and recent graduates to gain hands-on exposure to financial systems, processes, and tools in a dynamic nonprofit environment.

Purpose of the Learnership:
To provide learners with workplace experience in bookkeeping while supporting Neftaly’s financial operations and promoting professional growth in the finance and accounting field.

Key Learning Areas and Responsibilities:

  • Learn how to record day-to-day financial transactions accurately, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
  • Help prepare basic financial reports under supervision.
  • Support the organisation and maintenance of financial records (both physical and digital).
  • Learn to use accounting software and spreadsheets for financial tracking.
  • Participate in internal financial audits and compliance checks.
  • Attend training sessions on financial policies, tax regulations, and nonprofit finance systems.
