    As a Member of the Neftaly Finance and Treasury Committee, you play a crucial role in guiding the financial sustainability, transparency, and strategic financial planning of the organization. This committee ensures that Neftaly’s financial operations align with its mission, comply with all regulatory requirements, and support long-term growth.

    Role Purpose

    The Finance and Treasury Committee provides oversight and advisory support on budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, investments, and risk mitigation. Members contribute their expertise to maintain Neftaly’s financial integrity and accountability to stakeholders, donors, and partners.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review and monitor financial performance against approved budgets and strategic goals.
    • Advise on the preparation, implementation, and adjustments of annual budgets and forecasts.
    • Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow management, reserves, and investment strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation, policies, and best practices.
    • Evaluate financial risks and recommend control measures to minimize exposure.
    • Review audit findings and recommend improvements in financial systems and reporting.
    • Support the development of financial policies and frameworks that promote sustainability.
    • Assist with fundraising strategies, donor reporting, and financial due diligence.

    Skills and Qualities

    • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and treasury management.
    • Professional integrity and commitment to transparency and ethical governance.
    • Analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial reports and trends.
    • Experience in nonprofit finance or public sector financial management is an asset.
