Role Overview:

As a Community Development Learner, you will engage in training, mentorship, and hands-on projects aimed at addressing social issues such as poverty, inequality, education, youth unemployment, and access to basic services. You will work alongside Neftaly staff, volunteers, and partners to support initiatives that empower individuals and promote sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in classroom-based learning sessions and skills development workshops.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of community development projects and outreach events.
• Conduct basic research, surveys, and community assessments under supervision.
• Support community meetings, stakeholder engagement, and public education campaigns.
• Maintain documentation, records, and reporting for projects and activities.
• Collaborate with team members to find creative and inclusive solutions to local challenges.

Requirements:

• South African youth aged 18–35 with a Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Interest in community work, social justice, and development.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
• Commitment to completing the learnership programme (typically 12 months).
