This role supports the planning and implementation of impactful development programmes guided by research and community participation.

Role Overview

The Community Needs Assessments Research Officer is responsible for gathering data, conducting fieldwork, and supporting the research team to assess the needs, challenges, and priorities of communities. The officer works closely with the Research Manager, field staff, and community stakeholders to ensure accurate, ethical, and inclusive data collection and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and preparing community research projects
• Conduct surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observations
• Ensure accurate and ethical data collection in the field
• Capture and organize data using tools such as Excel, KoboToolbox, or Google Forms
• Support data analysis and reporting processes
• Build relationships with community members and stakeholders
• Contribute to the development of recommendations and community reports
