As a Learner in the Neftaly Accounts Reconciliation Unit, I am engaged in a structured training and development programme designed to build practical skills and foundational knowledge in financial reconciliation. My responsibilities and learning outcomes include:
- Assisting with the reconciliation of financial records, including comparing ledger entries with bank statements and other supporting documents.
- Learning to identify discrepancies and assisting in resolving variances under the guidance of experienced finance professionals.
- Gaining hands-on experience with accounting software and reconciliation tools used in professional finance environments.
- Supporting the finance team in month-end and year-end reconciliation tasks and helping prepare supporting schedules.
- Participating in workshops and mentorship sessions focused on accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Maintaining accurate and organized records of reconciliation activities in line with Neftaly’s policies and compliance frameworks.
- Developing a strong understanding of the importance of transparency, accuracy, and accountability in financial reporting.
